JOB TITLE: Integration Services Case Manager

PROGRAM: Refugee Resettlement

SUPERVISOR: New American Integration Coordinator (Direct) 

WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week, grant funded position through June 2021, possibility of full time position depending on continued funding

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:AA or BS and/or combination of education and experience in the refugee or human services area

Experience: Experience with diverse cultures and/or refugee population preferred, Experience with providing direct client services in a non profit or human services environment required. Qualified Individuals with fluency in Kikongo, Lingala, and Swahili are encouraged to apply.

  • excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal and organizational skills
  • ability to multi task and problem solve with minimal supervision
  • flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the agency and clients
  • ability to work cooperatively with clients, co-workers, and the public
  • ability to work in a multi-cultural setting and communicate with a clients from a variety of  backgrounds 
  • Current valid driver’s license, and access to own transportation
  • Ability to meet short timelines, under pressure

JOB SUMMARY:

The Integration Case Services Manager (ICSM) provides services to newly arrived refugees under the resettlement program (limited number) and provides integration program services to clients of the employment program, including Match Grant,  and support to the employment team. 

Resettlement:

  • Provides R&P services to a select number of clients under the guidance of the Resettlement team

Integration:

  • Works with clients of employment program to provide integration and post resettlement services
    • benefits recertification
    • Housing issues
    • Other barriers to gaining employment or employment retention

Employment Direct responsibilities:

  • Create resumes for each enrolled client
  • Conduct job club sessions
  • Conduct post-employment check in’s at 30th and 90th day
  • Assist clients in applying for unemployment
  • Train clients to certify weekly for unemployment 

May assist with as needed: 

  • job matching
  • Enrollment of clients into data base
  • Assist with vouchering for grant reimbursement
  • conducting initial client assessments 
  • interviews or other supportive functions
