Donations Coordinator
The donations coordinator supports the organization’s mission, vision, and values by procuring and coordinating in-kind donations for IIB, purchasing necessary goods for clients, maintaining and upkeep of inventory for donated and purchased items in our storage facilities.
Education: Minimum of Associate’s degree
Experience: Customer service, community outreach, community engagement or similar
experience required.
Requirements:
· Must have current Driver License and automobile insurance with access to personal vehicle.
· Must have a flexible schedule to assist when needed. May be required to transport items.
· Conduct self professionally and abide by the guidelines listed in the Employee Handbook.
· Good written and verbal communication in the English language, basic math skills.
· Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
· Must be comfortable giving presentations about donations program & IIB to small groups.
· Able to work in a multicultural setting and communicate in a friendly, professional manner with members of staff and public.
· Self-directed and motivated, with strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
· Ability to work cooperatively with clients, co-workers, management, and the public.
· Ability to identify program needs and take steps to make corrective actions.
· Familiar with Microsoft Office suite of products i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
· Responsible for maintaining a surplus and standard inventory for both donated and purchased goods.
· Prioritizes procurement of donated required household goods through a variety of outreach including email, phone calls and presentations to small groups like the girl scouts, church groups, and other local social organizations.
· Must complete monthly in-kind donations reports to ensure compliance with grant funders and to track internal inventory.
· Stays informed of local mainstream donation drives, and arranges when possible for IIB/clients to participate (pack a backpack, channel 2, toys for tots, every bottom covered, etc.).
· Responsibly purchases required household goods and personal care items and ensures a constant supply is always available.
· Maintains detailed records of purchases and submits receipts on time.
· Responsible for organizing and cleaning donations storage areas, on and off site.
· Handles all inquiries about in-kind donations and passes information about all donated items to appropriate staff for acknowledgement.
· Receives donated goods from the public via hand delivery on site or shipping and ensures that all donations are properly tracked and stored.
· Packs required items for new refugee arrivals and coordinates set up of apartments with other staff members.
· May be required to work with volunteers to accomplish goals.
· May participate in community-wide and agency-sponsored activities under supervision of the Community Outreach Manager, including serving on special committees or task forces
· Coordinates with communications staff to facilitate updates of online wish lists and social media postings to solicit donations of specific items and inventory items that are running low.
· Other relevant duties, as assigned.

Office environment requires employees to consistently use manual dexterity in reaching, writing, navigating around the workspace. This position requires fully functional vision and auditory abilities. This position requires standing, sitting, walking, including up and down stairs, lifting and moving items of up to 30-pounds.
