During this season of giving, the International Institute of Buffalo would like to show why we’re the City of Good Neighbors with our new Gifts for Good Neighbors program!
With this program, volunteers are invited to sign up to sponsor one of our families. This includes refugees and survivors from Afghanistan, Burma, Congo, Guatemala, Iraq, Rwanda, Somalia, Syria, Tanzania, Thailand, and many more. Once signed up, volunteers will be matched with a family to purchase gifts from a wish-list created by the families themselves. From there, the Institute will deliver the gifts to the families at the end of December. Volunteers will have options for sponsoring based on family size, giving amounts and also the option to sponsor more than one family if they choose. This is a great opportunity to get a team of your friends or co-workers together and make the holiday season special for our New American neighbors.
If you are interested and for more information, check out our signup form here to sponsor a family.
The International Institute of Buffalo is also always looking for volunteers to help further our mission year-round. Please consider becoming an IIB volunteer by signing up on our Volunteer Application Form here! For questions about the Gifts for Good Neighbors program or any other programs offered by IIB, contact Volunteer Coordinator Steve Bosco at email@example.com.
We thank you for your support of the International Institute of Buffalo and wish you a safe and happy holiday!
