IIB Hosts Volunteer Appreciation Night

By June 13, 2024No Comments

Recently, we honored our dedicated team of volunteers with an evening of lively conversation, dinner, and games. The Volunteer Appreciation Night recognized the considerable time, energy, and physical contributions provided by volunteers from across Western New York year-round.

Volunteer Appreciation Night welcomed approximately 50 volunteers to our downtown location. They were joined by staff to enjoy ethnic foods provided by Pho Lantern, Falafel Bar, and La Flor Bakery. During the event, Volunteer Coordinator Steve Bosco took time to personally thank the team before introducing Executive Director Jennifer Rizzo-Choi to provide an update on IIB affairs. From cornhole to giant Jenga, folks also took to the lawn to enjoy outdoor games in idyllic June weather. Additionally, attendees were encouraged and guided on creating welcoming messages in different languages. They will now be given to New Americans upon their arrival.
