Ukrainian Outreach Case Manager (Bi-lingual Ukrainian/English)

Full time - 40 hours per week, Mon. – Fri. (occasional evening/weekends)
Pay Range:
$20.00 per hour
Job Summary:

The bi-lingual Ukrainian Refugee Outreach Case Manager provides outreach to the Ukrainian refugee community, assists with referrals to services and limited but specific direct assistance to Ukrainian clients. Must be fluent in Ukrainian and English to perform this job.  This position requires the use of a personal vehicle.

Qualifications:

Requirements:          

  • Ability to read, write and speak Ukrainian in a fluent capacity.
  • Current valid driver’s license, active auto insurance, and personal vehicle required.
  • Good communication skills, oral and written; ability to work cooperatively with clients, co-workers, and the public.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Must exercise integrity and good judgement.
  • Familiarity with Western NY programs and services.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the agency and clients.
  • Ability to work independently
  • High degree of cultural sensitivity & ability to maintain professional boundaries.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products (Outlook, Excel, etc.).
Duties And Responsibilities:
  • Meeting with clients to conduct initial needs assessment.
  • Complete all required program enrollment paperwork, enter into data base, and maintain up to date and accurate case notes.
  • Tracking data of clients served.
  • Work with IIB staff to provide trainings to partners on Buffalo’s Ukrainian population.
  • Linking clients to community resources for needed services including housing, medical care, public benefits, food pantry, education, and financial benefits, and legal services that cannot be provided by IIB’s legal team.
  • Linking clients to the Ukrainian community and social support services.
  • Providing community orientation about Buffalo in individual or group sessions.
  • Additional duties, as assigned.

Working Conditions:

Office environment requires employees to consistently use manual dexterity in reaching, writing, navigating around the workspace. This position requires fully functional vision and auditory abilities. This position requires standing, sitting, walking, including up and down stairs, lifting and moving items of up to 30-pounds.
