The Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public where social distancing is difficult, like on the bus, at a grocery store, or at a doctor’s office or bank. By wearing a cloth face mask, you will help slow the spread of the coronavirus. These face coverings can be made from regular materials that you can find in your home. The face coverings should not be used on kids under 2 years old, if you have trouble breathing, or cannot put on or take off a face mask without someone helping you.
With a cloth covering, please make sure to wash them in hot, soapy water every so often to ensure they are clean.
Before putting on your face mask, make sure your hands are washed for 20 seconds in hot, soapy water or you have used hand sanitizer. Make sure you do not touch your eyes, nose, or mouth when removing the mask, and to wash your hands upon removal.
