Canisius College Professor Dr. Zachary McGurk Presents at the Great Decisions Speaker Series

Waging economic warfare involves various measures, from implementing sanctions to fomenting labor strikes. Governments utilize such tools to hinder their enemies. The United States used it as far back as the early 19th century. Since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, economic warfare has been the primary means for the West to challenge Russia. How effective will these sanctions be at convincing Russia to cease its war?

Dr. Zachary McGurk, professor in Canisius College’s School of Business will present on Economic Warfare this Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday, April 11, marks our sixth 2023 Great Decisions Speaker Series presentation. The series features eight engaging foreign policy discussions introduced and facilitated by leading experts across Western New York. To order tickets, download the 2023 Registration Form.
