Recently refugee families from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Syria, and Colombia have made Buffalo their new home. Basic household items, from bed pillows to cleaning supplies, go a long way in helping our newest neighbors settle into their communities, can you help?
We are also currently accepting donations of used couches or dining room tables, along with associated lamps or side tables. We are able to accommodate home pickups of donations that include a couch or table.
The following household items are urgently needed:
- Can openers
- Tea kettles
- Twin and full-sized sheet sets
- Packs of clothes hangers
- Light bulbs (60 watt)
- Multipurpose cleaner
- Toilet bowl cleaner
- Insect killer
- Liquid laundry detergent
- Mops/brooms or swiffer with wet and dry cloths
- 13-gallon garbage can (with lid for kitchen)
- 13-gallon garbage bags
- Toilet brushes
- Plungers
- Bath towels
- Toilet paper
- Paper towels
- Thermometers
- Umbrellas
- Pots and pans
- Large knives for cooking
- Cooking utensils (spatula, spoons, etc.)
- Sponges
