Interns assist with language service needs of our clients and external agency partners including schools, hospitals and courts through mostly administrative work.

Requirements:

• Ability to provide a “trauma-informed” approach and sensitivity to working with refugees and other vulnerable populations
• Knowledge of diverse cultures and/or willingness to learn cultural customs
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Access to reliable transportation
• Knowledge of Microsoft Suite

General Responsibilities: 

• Assist with basic clerical office duties including filing, copying, faxing and preparing and mailing invoices
• Update the database to reflect completed interpreting and translating jobs, including hours of service and location of service provided
• Communicate with interpreters and translators via email and text to schedule/confirm appointments with clients
• Complete other duties as assigned
