IIB's Christopher Krull Presents at Thursday's Great Decisions Speaker Series

Electoral results in Latin America over the past four years have led many observers of the regional/political scene to discern a left-wing surge in the hemisphere, reminiscent of the so-called “Pink Tide” that swept the area some 20 years ago. But how much do these politicians actually have in common? What implication does their ascendency have for the region?

IIB’s Christopher Krull will lead a discussion on Politics in Latin America this Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. This live event will include a video presentation followed by an interactive discussion.

Tuesday, February March 5, marks our third 2023 Great Decisions Speaker Series presentation. The series features eight engaging foreign policy discussions introduced and facilitated by leading experts across Western New York. To order tickets, download the 2023 Registration Form.

About Christopher Krull

Christopher is an International Institute of Buffalo employee in the Global Exchanges and Education Department. Over the past year, he has had the opportunity to assist the department in coordinating various professional exchange programs with the Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and Global Ties network. These programs, known as the International Visitor Leadership Program, help to build bridges between Western New York and the world. By planning professional meetings between these delegates and local resources in the government and private sectors, we can promote the exchange of information on shared challenges and best practices in the field and advance U.S. security and global leadership.
Chris began his work at the IIB in August of 2021 as an intern in the same department. Through his experiences as an intern and academic interests at Canisius College, Chris was hired full-time after graduating with a B.A. in Political Science in February of 2022 to continue planning some of the many exceptional programs the International Institute of Buffalo coordinates. In the future, Chris hopes to return to college to pursue a master’s degree in International Affairs.
