This Saturday, May 6, join the Erie County Language Access Working Group for its Language Access Town Hall at the Jericho Road Broadway Clinic at 1021 Broadway, Buffalo, NY 14212.

The Partnership for the Public Good, the Buffalo Immigrant Leadership Team, and the New York Immigration Coalition co-host the event with IIB. It will include an overview of the proposed county and state language access laws. Additionally, you will hear from a panel of refugee and immigrant community leaders directly impacted by the lack of language access in Erie County and New York State. There will also be time allocated to talk in small groups and hear from community members about their struggles regarding language access.

Executive Director Jennifer Rizzo Choi recently spoke with Spectrum News Buffalo about the local government’s push for more language access. Buffalo Common Council Members support measures for translation and interpretation so that government information and services become more accessible across the city.
