Over the last several months, our number for resettlement has increased from 330 to 496 refugees. The difference of 166 people represents a 50.3 percent increase of our New American Integration Department’s original number for this fiscal year, which ends in less than two months, on September 30. In August, we will be resettling several families and basic household items from bed linens and umbrellas to toilet paper and cookware significantly help our newest American neighbors as they begin their new lives in Western New York.
