If you did, you’d be wrong.

(Actually, they’re owned by three refugees!)

If you and your family had to flee your home country as refugees, what would you take with you? Could you fit all your important and meaningful things in only three bags like these?

It puts things in perspective, doesn’t it?

These are the belongings of a recently arrived family of 3 refugees from the Congo– a mom, a 4-year-old son, and a 6-year-old son. Happily, we reunited this family with their husband/dad just the other day. They haven’t seen each other in 3 ½ years!

Three more family members are arriving next week so the whole family unit will be in Buffalo together–finally. We‘re excited to meet the rest of this family and help them start their life as New Americans in Buffalo.
