In April, we’ll be resettling several families here in Western New York. Additionally, our funding is severely limited for a young couple in their 20s arriving on the 17th. They’ve had to travel from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and through Belarus. Towards the end of the month, we’re resettling a single woman from Sudan. She’s waited 20 years in a refugee camp in Chad, at the crossroads of North and Central Africa, has no ties in Western New York, and will be living alone. Donations are crucial to the important work we do to help our new American neighbors as they begin and build their new lives.
