Update: If you are reading this, it is no longer Giving Tuesday. Thanks to everyone who helped with a donation! If you missed the chance, you can give now but clicking any of the links on this page.
Giving Tuesday is a perfect time for you to help.
We will resettle 70 refugees (42 of them children) coming to WNY between now and Christmas. We plan to resettle about 19 people a week between now and the end of January!
With immigrants and refugees unfairly under attack from politicians and pundits, we will continue to fight to make Western New York a better place for them. The research shows that foreign-born people make a community better. We can’t do that without you, so please make a donation right now.
With your help, we can improve our corner of the globe by resettling people running from war and persecution and welcoming them as they become an integral part of the City of Good Neighbors.
Your donation helps us train them so they can succeed in the American workplace more quickly and easily. That helps them, but it also helps the local economy.
When you take a moment to make a contribution right now, you will make it easier to bridge the language access gap as newly arrived people learn English.
It opens Western New York to other nations and cultures and helps our children explore the world beyond our borders.
Your donation helps us fulfill America’s promise. On Giving Tuesday, we respectfully ask that you give so that we can continue to make Western New York a better place for, and because of, immigrants and refugees.
What is Giving Tuesday?
(Never mind what it is! I want to make a contribution now)
Giving Tuesday is frequently described as a global philanthropic response to the blatant consumerism immediately after Thanksgiving on Black Friday and the following weekend. Instead of advocating for the acquisition of “stuff,” it offers a day of generosity to help the organizations and causes that help others and makes the world a better place.
Your generosity today supports your favorite causes at a time when others worldwide are supporting theirs.
