The International Institute of Buffalo Executive Director Jennifer Rizzo-Choi was featured recently during a panel discussion on immigration hosted by the Buffalo News at the Seneca One Tower in Buffalo. The event, “Growing Western New York’s Economy through New American Talent,” was put on by the talent recruitment platform Joblio.
Rizzo-Choi was one of five panel members who spoke on how immigrants and refugees are making a significant and positive impact on local business infrastructure, communities, and the economy. The presentation included inspiring success stories and thought-provoking discussions on the power of diversity and its positive effects on communities.
Rizzo-Choi was joined by Darren Saxon, director of the City of Buffalo’s Office of New Americans; Wooksoo Kim, associate professor of social work at UB and Bob Confer, owner of Confer Plastics.
