Recruting: In-Person Interpreters and Document Translators

Are you interested in helping immigrants and refugees converse in their native language? The International Institute of Buffalo is looking for interpreters and translators with excellent written and verbal foreign language skills to provide meaningful and necessary support to our new community members. Our interpreters and translators play an essential role in assisting our newly arrived American clients navigate their new lives. They also help local governments fulfill national and local language access mandates and regional outlets such as medical offices, community resources, and much more.

The International Institute of Buffalo hires linguists, in-person interpreters, and translators. All applicants must be permitted to work in the U.S. with a high school diploma or equivalent. Interpreters must be based in the Western New York region, and translators must be based in the U.S. or Canada.

At this time, we are recruiting local onsite interpreters in the following languages:

Dari, Farsi, Karen, Karenni, Kinyarwanda, Nepali, Pashto, Portuguese, Rohingya, and Somali.

We are also recruiting Document Translators in the following languages:

Karen, Malay, Pulaar/Fulani
