Local non-profit Wheels for Workers 716 stopped by our location on Delaware Avenue to generously donate 13 bicycles, along with helmets and locks. They’ll now be given to our newly arrived refugee clients to help them get to and from work, school, grocery shopping, and other essential destinations. Since this past September, Wheels for Workers has now donated a total of 44 bikes and associated supplies to the International Institute of Buffalo.
Wheels for Workers 716 assists re-settled families to integrate into our community here in Western New York. Its team of volunteers collects unused bikes and provides necessary repairs to make them functional again, all to benefit families that lack transportation.
If you’d like to donate unused bicycles for a refugee family in need, you can click here for information on how to drop them off for repairs through Wheels for Workers 716.
