The Department of Motor Vehicles Mobile Unit recently joined our employment team to make applying and processing DMV paperwork easier and accessible for our clients. The new partnership seamlessly links our newly arrived refugee clients with DMV representatives to get various applications completed quickly and efficiently on-site.
Many of the transactions offered at DMV brick-and-mortar locations can also be conducted by the mobile unit. IIB team members and translators assisted clients in filling out their paperwork before they moved on to process applications for services such as applying for a standard non-driver photo ID, registering for permit testing, and renewing vehicle registration. Erie County Clerk Mickey Kearns and Deputy Clerk Madonna Bishop were on hand to support the new partnership.
