Donations Needed! Non-perishable Foods

 

At this time, we are not holding on-site donation hours. To coordinate your drop-offs, please contact our donations team at: donations@iibuff.org

We are constantly assisting our newest neighbors in integrating into our community, but we need your help!

At this time, we are looking for donations of shelf-stable and non-perishable food items for our clients.  A list of specific food needs can be found below:

  • Rice
  • Pasta
  • Bread
  • Pita bread
  • Flour
  • Sugar
  • Cornmeal
  • Vegetable or corn oil
  • Tea
  • Dried or canned beans (black, red, kidney, garbanzo, etc.)
  • Dried lentils
  • Canned fruits and vegetables
  • Tomato paste

We can also accept gift cards that families can use to shop for themselves. Gift cards can be given in increments of $25.00 – $30.00, from stores such as  Aldi, Tops and Price Rite being most the accessible and affordable.

In addition to these non-perishable food and gift cards, we are still seeking donations of  new or  gently used fans (particularly large box fans) and window air conditioning units to help keep our clients beat the heat this summer season.

Basic household items from pillows and trashcans to bowls, paper towels or laundry detergent significantly help those who’ve recently began their new lives in Western New York. While we are unable to accept clothing at this time, we are also asking for donations of the following items:

  • Pillows
  • Paper towels
  • Bowls
  • 13 Gallon trashcans and bags
  • Full and twin-sized comforters
  • Mops and mop buckets
  • Umbrellas
  • Plungers
  • Cutting boards
  • Laundry detergent
  • Deodorant
  • Multi-purpose cleaner
  • Dish soap
  • Liquid hand soap
  • Bowls
  • Sponges
  • Tea kettles
  • Toilet brushes
  • Toilet bowl cleaner
