Date: Thursday, June 27, 2024 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

If you are able, please offer a donation of any amount you’d like to help cover the operating costs of our diverse departmental offerings, or even perhaps for an interpreter who cannot otherwise afford to pay for training.

This training is for all levels of experience; from beginners to those with years of experience who want to brush up on the basics. There will be activities and discussion. Active participation is expected from attendees. Robert Thoren will serve as course instructor.

What time is the training taking place in my time zone?

Please take care to accurately assess what time classes start where you live!

This workshop will be conducted in English, and is most beneficial to foreign language interpreters, however sign language interpreters and people who work in adjacent professions are welcome to attend and benefit from the knowledge being shared.

For those currently contracted with the Institute already, please check your email for the promo code to get a discount on the ticket price. If you are unable to use the promo code to get your discounted ticket, please let us know.

Certificate of Completion: For attendees who would like to receive a certificate of completion, please select the certificate of completion add-on during check out. If you do not select this, you will not receive a certificate.

Buying a certificate does not guarantee receipt of one – you must either attend live for the entire duration or submit a summary of the recording when it is made available. If this is not completed, you will not receive your certificate.

THIS TRAINING WILL BE VIRTUAL AND WILL TAKE PLACE LIVE ON MICROSOFT TEAMS. You will receive a link to join in your email in advance of the training time. If you don’t have access to a computer, you may also join on your mobile phone or tablet. If your phone lacks video capabilities, you may also join by calling into the audio.

The session will be held live, but will be recorded, so for those of you with time conflicts, you can still participate asynchronously. When the course has finished, you will be sent a Google Form to watch the training recording and submit a summary of the materials. In addition, you may complete an evaluation form to provide feedback.
